Upon receiving news that her health is failing, Vi decides that her dying wish is to bring her broken family back together again. The only issue with that is that, because of deep-rooted drama that travels back to their childhood, her grandchildren can't stand to bee in the same room as each other, or their parents. So Vi decides to invite them all separately, and when they all arrive, she locks them in and forces them to deal with the demons of their past before it's too late.

Based on a real family, "How To Say Goodbye" deals with sibling rivalry, parental and child abuse, and the process of healing what might be beyond fixing.
